As a Senior Fullstack PHP Developer, you will design, build, and maintain the backend services and APIs that power MGID’s advertiser dashboards, while also contributing to frontend tasks in our admin panel. Your work will directly shape how advertisers create campaigns, track conversions, and optimize performance. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Frontend Developers, QA Engineers, and DevOps specialists, reporting to the Tech Lead. In this role, your engineering decisions will have a direct and visible impact on both advertisers’ results and MGID’s business outcomes.

This position is remote-friendly across EMEA time zones, with required overlap to Kyiv working hours.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services, microservices, and APIs

• Integrate third-party services and internal libraries

• Model relational schemas, write optimized queries, and tune database performance

• Design, version, and document RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger)

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and module tests

• Ensure high code quality via reviews, linters, and static analysis

• Configure CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps on deployments

• Implement authentication, authorization, and input validation best practices

• Deliver end-to-end features where needed (DB → API → small UI update)

• Contribute to admin panel improvements by handling Angular/TypeScript tasks

• Participate in architecture and scalability discussions, breaking down monoliths into services when appropriate

• Share knowledge with teammates through documentation, walkthroughs, and mentorship

Who You Are

Must-Have

• You have 3+ years of professional PHP (7/8) development experience.

• You have strong skills in Symfony (or another MVC framework with readiness to transition).

• You possess strong SQL expertise (MySQL or PostgreSQL).

• You have experience with at least one modern JS framework (Angular preferred; React or Vue acceptable) and possess solid TypeScript knowledge.

• You possess experience designing, implementing, and documenting RESTful APIs

• You apply unit and integration testing consistently to ensure code reliability and maintainability.

• You are fluent in Ukrainian and have at least intermediate English

• You take initiative, work independently, and articulate your ideas with clarity.

• You welcome feedback and approach problems with a structured, analytical mindset.
  

Nice-to-Have

• You have experience with Kafka, Redis, or ClickHouse.

• You have worked on performance optimization at scale.

• You have exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration.

• Interest in AI-powered dev tools (e.g., Copilot, GPT) to speed up routine tasks

• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
